Bill and Judi Byrne

We have been owned by shelties for the past 28 years. Our first sheltie was purchased as a family pet. In 1982 we purchased our first show dog "PIPER" from whom all our shelties can be traced. Together we have shown many shelties to BIS, BISS, BPIS, and BPISS, most we owned and bred but a few we showed for American and Canadian friends. We also enjoy other breeds having owned an Afghan, BIS Whippet for 17 years and currently having three Chinese Cresteds, all are Canadian Champions ... and one, "PEARL" is also pointed in the U.S.

 
 

Our shelties are an important part of our family, are all house dogs, and any given night can be found in our living room watching television ...people have gates to keep dogs out of the living room, we have gates to keep them in.



We have four grown children who grew up with our shelties and five adorable grand children who enjoy the gang when visiting.

We are both Licensed CKC judges for Group 7 and enjoy seeing many beautiful shelties when judging in both Canada and the US. Bill is licensed also for Group 3, Group 2 and is on permit for the top half of Group 5 and can now judge BIS, and Judi is also licensed for Group 1, Group 5, the top half of Group 3 and is on permit for the bottom half of Group 3 and can now judge BIS.



We are both members of the following:


  • Canadian Kennel Club
  • Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association. Judi is Past Director for New Brunswick, PEI, and NFLD
  • Canadian Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Association. Judi is 2nd Vice President
  • Maritime Group Seven. Bill is a Director for New Brunswick, Judi is the Treasurer and Membership Chairperson, and both serve on the Ethics Committee
  • New Brunswick Kennel Club. Judi is the Judges Selection Committee Chair and both Bill and Judi are Past Presidents and have held many other offices on the Executive during their 20 year membership.
  • Canadian Dog Judges Association
  • Atlantic Region Conformation Judges Association. Judi is President and Bill is Secretary.
  • Chinese Crested Club of Canada
