At Lyricisle 2013 & 2012  

June: June 20-23 - We went to the Cumberland, Maine shows to try and get the final point our Chinese Crested Pearl needed to finish her American Championship ... we are happy to say that she did it in the first show and she is now known as Am/Can Champion Razzmatazz Pink Pearl ... she was completely owner handled to both of these titles. Also entered in these shows was Cassie ... Multi/BPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia ... in the first show she won BPIG and then BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!! On the second day she won BW for her first American points and another BPIG. On the 3rd day she again won her class ... we were thrilled with her 1st American show appearance. June 8/9 - On Saturday at the Oromocto Kennel Club shows Jolene ... MBPIG Ch Lyricisle’s Double Dare won the Breed, a Group 3rd and BPIG and at the same show Cassie ... BPISS BPIS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia was Winners Female to finish her Canadian Championship!!!   On Sunday ... Jolene was Select Female and Cassie won another Best Puppy In Group. May: May 18/19 - We had another fun weekend with our puppies at the Tantramar Kennel Club shows in Nova Scotia. Jolene ... MBPIG Ch Lyricisle’s Double Dare was awarded a Group 2nd, BPIG, and 2 Select Female wins. Cassie ... BPISS BPIS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia who was entered in 3 of the shows won 3 BW a BPIG and a BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!! Thanks to all the judges for appreciating our babies. May 4/5 - We had a great weekend with our Hopefuls at the Maritime Group 7 Specialty and the Moncton Kennel Club all breed shows ... in the MG7 Specialty on Saturday ... Cassie BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia got BW for her first 3 points and Best Puppy In Specialty ... our baby puppy Amelia Lyricisle’s Without A Trace won Best Baby Puppy In Sweeps and Best Baby Puppy In Specialty. In the All Breed show on Saturday ... Jolene Ch Lyricisle’s Double Dare won a Group 1st and Best Puppy In Group from the Bred By class for 5 points. On Sunday ... it was another perfect dog show day ... Jolene once again won the breed from the Bred By class and took a Group 2nd and Best Puppy In Group for 5 more points and to finish her Championship in her second weekend of shows. Amelia Lyricisle’s Without A Trace at only 15 weeks, showed like a trooper and won Best Baby Puppy In Group. April: April 27 - Sassy ... Lyricisle’s Sassy Pants left today for her new home with Ben and  Nancy Cullen. Today was their first meeting and it was love at first sight for them and Sassy. March: March 23/24 - We took our Hopefuls ... Cassie, Sassy, and Jolene to their first “real” dog show in Truro, N.S. They all seemed to really enjoy the experience and Jolene came home with her first 4 points towards her Championship.   A NEW LOOK FOR OUR WEBSITE!!!! Many thanks to Bonnie Rector Highledge for all her help and patience in developing the latest version of our website ... she proved that “you can teach an ‘Old Dog’ New Tricks” March 9 - We went to the NBKC match and our Cassie Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia won a Group 1st from the 3-6 month class ... and Jolene Lyricisle’s Double Dare was RWB to Cassie. February:   We found out this month that Ruby MBPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Ruby Red Dress was awarded Overall Top Conformation Puppy for the Eukanuba Atlantic 2012 Awards of Excellence. We went to the Moncton Match where Jolene Lyricisle’s Double Dare won a Group 1st from the 6 - 9 month class ... and Cassie Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia was RWB to Jolene. January:    Our Ivy BPISS Ch Talisker Lyricisle Ivy League) had been bred to Streeter MBPIS Ch Lyricisle's Street Smart, and she whelped a beautiful litter of seven on Jan. 17, 2013.  There were  4 Girls and 3 Boys 2012 (summary) January:  Our Ruby Ch Lyricisle’s Red Dress (born Oct, 2011) started making her appearances at matches in Jan & Feb ... we had plans for a fun year with her and she certainly didn’t disappoint us. See her page under Girls for all her accomplishments at shows from May to November that led her to be #1 Sheltie Puppy in Canada for 2012 May:  We attended the Canadian Sheltie National in Ontario where Ruby won her class in the Breeder’s Sweeps and the Puppy Sweeps as well as placing in the regular 6-9 month class. To make the trip even more enjoyable we stayed with Bonnie and Jim Rector “Highledge” and completely enjoyed their warm hospitality and friendship ... it made the trip worthwhile. June:  Our Ivy Ch Talisker Lyricisle Ivy League gave birth to a beautiful litter co-bred with our long time friend Sharon Ayers Talisker ... Ivy was bred to Am/Can Ch Laureate Double Exposure owned by Nancy Everett “Brandina” she had a beautiful litter of 4 girls and 3 boys ... Sassy & Jolene who is on our Hopefuls page and “Frankie” Talisker’s Frankly Speaking (owned by Sharon) are all hoping to see the show ring in the near future. September:  Our beautiful Sara Ch Lyricisle’s Kiss The Boys gave birth to a fabulous litter of 3 boys and 2 girls ... she was bred to Ch Highledge Highfalutin CD RAE3 ... from this litter we kept Cassie Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia see her on our Hopefuls page October:  We took a trip to the West Springfied, Mass. shows where “Pearl” Ch Razzmatazz Pink Pearl” won both majors and now needs only a single point to finish her American championship. November: The “dog show” year ended with the news that our Ruby Ch Lyricisle’s Ruby Red Dress was named NBKC “Dog of the Year” and “Puppy of the Year” ... we’re looking forward to a wonderful 2013                                                                                                                                                

  August: Aug 31-Sept 1 - At the Halifax Kennel Club shows in Halifax N.S. ... Amelia  ... BBPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Without A Trace had another great weekend. She won 2 Best Puppy In Groups, and 2 Group 2nds. She now understands this “dog show thing” and really is having fun with it Also this weekend was the Chinese Crested Canadian National Specialty ... we entered Pearl... Am/Can Champion Razzmatazz Pink Pearl ... so she could be part of it. Well Pearl showed like a dream and ended up winning “Select”... way to go Pearl!!!! Aug 24-25 - At the Cape Breton Kennel Club shows in Sydney N.S. ... Amelia ... BBPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Without A Trace continued her winning ways. She won 4 Best Puppy In Groups, 1 Group 2nd, and 2 Group 1st. She continues to amaze us with how much maturity and showmanship she displays in the ring ... she’s accomplished a lot considering she’s only 7 months and 1 week old ... a real promising puppy ;) Aug 16-19 - At the New Brunswick Kennel Club shows in Grand Bay N.B. ... Amelia ... BBPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Without A Trace had an Amazing Time!!!! These were the first shows she has ever been shown in and she completely won over the judges ... she won Best of Breed 5 times from the Bred-By Class, 5 Best Puppy In Groups, 2 Group 2nd, 2 Group 3rd, and a Group 4th. These wins meant that she won her Canadian Championship at her first weekend of shows and all at just 7 months of age. The one Day that Cassie ... Multi/BPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia was entered she won the Best Puppy In Group ... so it ended up being a Great set of shows for us :) July: July 26-28 - At the Fredericton Kennel Club shows in  N.B. ... Cassie ... Multi/BPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia made us proud by winning 3 Best Puppy In Groups, 2 more points toward her Grand Championship, a Group 4th and another BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!! July 13/14 - We attended the Chaleur Kennel Club shows in Bathurst, N.B. ... Cassie ... Multi/BPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Cassiopeia once again had a great weekend winning 3 Best Puppy In Groups and picking up 8 points toward her Grand Championship.  

2013

Oct 12 - 13 - We headed for the Cobequid Dog Show in Truro, N.S. with Amelia ... BBPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Without A Trace, hoping that after a 6 week break she would still remember what the “show scene” was all about ... she made us proud by picking up a Group 4th, 2 BPIG and a BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!! - Oh Yes!! she remembered :). Also, we took our beautiful Ruby Multi BPIS Ch Lyricisle’s Ruby Red Dress to the U.S. to be bred to Am Ch  Brandina Carmylie Double Digit ... with puppies hopefully due early December.  September: During this month we took time off from showing at the dog shows to have some fun judging in Nova Scotia and Ontario. We also bred Jolene ... MBPIG Ch Lyricisle’s Double Dare to our Streeter MBPIS Ch Lyricisle's Street Smart with puppies hopefully due early November.  

December: Dec 14 - Ruby MBPIS BPISS Ch Lyricisle’s Ruby Red Dress presented us with an early Christmas present ... she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who weighed 7.9 oz ... both Mother and Baby are doing great ...  ... Ruby is being one of the “best” Mothers ever ... you can tell she is very proud ... he’ll be staying here with us for awhile :) November: Nov 30 - The “dog show” year ended with the news that our Amelia ... MBPIS BBPISS GCh Lyricisle’s Without A Trace was named NBKC “Dog of the Year” and “Puppy of the Year” ... Nov 2 - Puppies have arrived!!! ... while we were in Red Deer, Alberta judging and visiting our son and his family in Calgary ... our good friends Sharon Ayers and Janet Waters looked after our Jolene Ch Lyricisle’s Double Dare who was due while we were away ... This was Jolene’s first litter and she handled it like a pro ... she had her first 4 puppies in 1 hour and 25 minutes, followed by the 5th an hour later. All 4 boys and their sister are doing great. We can’t thank Sharon and Janet enough for the excellent care they gave our baby. The “proud Mama” picture was taken at a few hours old. October: Oct 26 - 27 - Amelia ... MBPIS BBPISS GCh Lyricisle’s Without A Trace, had another GREAT weekend ... at the Island Dog Club shows in Charlottetown, PEI ... she won a Group 1st, a Group 2nd, a Group 4th, 4 BPIG and another BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!! - ... she also earned the final points towards her GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP ... all this at just 9 months of age ... what a sweetie!!!
